The Hotel situated on the south side of Tudor Square, has the proud history of being the Tenby home of Sir William Paxton. This self made man of great vision developed the town into the fine bathing spa of regency times, creating many of the attractive and picturesque buildings that give the resort its unique character to this day.
Originally a medieval coaching-inn known as "The Globe Inn", this site was developed by Sir William Paxton in 1802 as his home, following his return from India where he made his fortune as a trading merchant.
Lesley Fisher & Family would like to welcome you to Tenby which is both a medieval walled town and one of Wales' favorite seaside resorts, in the only coastal National Park in Britain. It's ancient harbour, surrounded by Regency houses in pastel colours, is a focus for artists and photographers and it's four sheltered beaches and safe bathing waters attract families, with water sports for the energetic.
Tenby is a centre for touring Pembrokeshire, a county of great beauty. rugged coastline, valleys and hills, secluded blue flag beaches and excellent golf courses. There are world famous sea bird sanctuaries, Stone Age caves and tombs, iron Age forts, Norman Castles - altogether some 350 scheduled ancient monuments linked by the 300 kilometre coastal footpath.
The serviced accommodation is of a high standard, with eighteen en-suite bedrooms. The decor and soft furnishings have been carefully selected to echo the grandeur and style of the Regency building.
Some of our rooms adjoin a grand balcony which overlooks Tudor Square, the heart of the town. Tenby House has all the facilities the guest expects for a comfortable and memorable visit.
The bars are popular with residents and local people alike, and children are made welcome. The decor reflects the history of this fine building.
Our restaurant bar is tastefully decorated adding to the mood of the restaurant.
