Pale Hall Hotel, Llandderfel, Bala, Gwynedd

Palé Hall is a privately owned luxurious Victorian Country House Hotel near Bala in North Wales, set amongst 16 acres of gardens on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. The hotel is open to non-residents for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

This quality hotel near Bala has been awarded the Visit Wales Gold Award, which is given to the top 2% of hotels and guest houses in Wales. The award recognises outstanding quality, exceptional comfort and unfailing hospitality.

Palé is a delightful discovery for discerning visitors - a lovingly restored Victorian country manor set in refreshingly tranquil and beautiful surroundings. Queen Victoria herself warmed to Palé's welcome during her visit in 1889 and the present owners are proud to maintain the Hall's great tradition of hospitality.

The elegance and grandeur of Palé remain unchanged, while the amenities have been discreetly enhanced to the highest standards. We are sure Her Majesty would have approved.

Each guest room in this hotel in Snowdonia is individually appointed, with an extraordinary selection of beds and bathing facilities, private sitting rooms and commanding views on all sides. All rooms have en-suite facilities, and there is lift access to all floors (not suitable for wheelchairs).

Many of the bedrooms have recently been completely redecorated and refurbished. Each has its own individual character and each reflects the quality and high standards that guests are assured of at Palé.

Dining at Palé is stylish and restful with the accent on fresh, natural food and regularly changing menu, including special selections for vegetarian and other diets.

Our restaurant offers fine dishes from our Table D'Hôte menu and is complemented by an extensive cellar of vintages. The style of cooking is British and French modern and classic cuisine. The restaurant is open to non-residents as well as hotel guests for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

The location of Palé close to the River Dee near Bala, at the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales is one of Wales' best kept secrets. It is set in an unspoilt area of lush valleys, gentle hills and nearby moorlands and mountains, which makes it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts of all types.
