Brightly coloured villas line the Esplanade and provide a strong reminder of days gone by. Paignton Pier - which was originally built for Victorian promenaders - completes the picture with cafés and amusements through the day and evening.

Much of life in this town revolves around the seafront. With its long sandy beaches, colourful atmosphere and safe paddling and swimming, it is a true family resort. Right next to the beach is Paignton Green where many events are staged throughout the year and games of cricket, football and rounders are often the order of the day.
