Bosanneth Guest House, Falmouth, Cornwall

Bosanneth, which means "Home on the Hill" in the Cornish Language, was built in 1909 for two spinster sisters of Falmouth on land purchased from "The Right Honourable John, Second Earl of Kimberley, at the price of £140.00, which is difficult to imagine these days.

The house is built of Granite, the walls being two feet thick and is built to a style of which there is only one other similar house in Falmouth.

We moved into Bosanneth in 1990, and set about the refurbishment of this wonderful house and garden with sea views over Falmouth Bay. Over the years we have individually decorated each room and converted them to double/twin rooms only. The garden has been restyled and planted to make an attractive setting for the Hotel and our guests. There are seats positioned in the garden to enable our guests to enjoy the wonderful views. We have retained the character of the building whilst providing our guests with all the facilities and home comforts they would expect from a large hotel.

We offer you the best in hospitality and cuisine at Bosanneth. Tastefully decorated throughout, we are a Quality Licensed Private Hotel offering a relaxing holiday, or short break with that personal touch that makes all the difference.

Meals are served in our spacious dining room overlooking the sea. You have a choice from our freshly cooked menu, and being licensed we can offer a selection of wines and liqueurs to enjoy with your dinner.

Afterwards you may wish to relax on the patio which leads out from the lounge, overlooking our pretty garden on to the shimmering sea.

All our comfortable well appointed rooms have en-suite facilities,and most have sea views over Falmouth Bay to the treacherous Manacles Rocks which have claimed many a fine sailing ship in years gone by.

All rooms have fully enclosed bathrooms fitted with toilet, handbasin, bath or shower, shaver socket, mirror with light, heated towel rail, hairdryer, colour television and clock radio. If you would like the use of ironing or shoe cleaning equipment, please ask.
