This typical country hotel, reputed to be built during the late 16th century, offers superb first class accommodation, with twelve well appointed bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities. All bedrooms have tea/coffee making facilities, colour television with radio & direct line telephones, hair dryer and, trouser press. Internet access is available to all rooms.

The spacious rooms are fully centrally heated and furnished to a very high standard with views overlooking open countryside. Our luxury suite complete with jacuzzi, has a wonderful four poster bed ideal for honeymoons, or that special weekend break.

The hotel is set in its own acre of well kept grounds with plenty of car parking space and a peaceful sun patio for those drinks before dinner on a warm summer evening and everything is complemented by a warm and friendly bar for the cold winter nights.

There is also a residents' lounge for that quiet evening in.

The hotel has been home to the local Round Table for 9 years and has hosted the Rotarian club meeting on Tuesday evening since the beginning of 1990.

We have a wide range of clientele from long and short stay business people, vacationers passing through or basing themselves here to visit the great many local attractions to catering for weekend wedding parties and receptions.

The hotel is fully equipped with fax, e-mail and a modern direct dial telephone system for complete communication and a laundry service to keep guests looking their best.

Special attention is always given to using the very best locally produced seasonal fruit & vegetables and prime cuts of meat from the most reputable of butchers. This coupled with the highest standards of preparation and service creates a most pleasurable experience every time.

Finally it’s not just a coincidence that the wine cellar is stocked with fine wines from around the globe to please the palate and complement the fine cuisine whether it be traditional roast beef & yorkshire pudding, fine french cuisine or an expedition to the Orient. Try a dessert wine to round off your selection from the exquisite sweet trolley to finish your meal.

The residents' menu is changed every other day to compromise between maximum choice and the chance to try more than one dish. The à la Carte menu is changed to reflect the best available produce in the relevant season.
