Ashbank Hotel, Carradale, Argyll

The Ashbank is a family owned and run hotel in the picturesque fishing village of Carradale on the east coast of the Kintyre peninsula, with views across the Kilbrannan Sound to Arran and Ailsa Craig.

Kintyre, is a secluded peninsula on the west of Scotland is forty miles long and eight miles wide and has eighty miles of superb beaches. Away from the main tourist routes it retains a natural beauty, character and peace blended with an exciting variety of scenery and wildlife.

The Ashbank is the perfect venue for those in search of either an active or a restful holiday. The nine hole Carradale Golf course is right next door. The Bay with its mile long sandy beach is only moments away and a short stroll will take you down to the working harbour.

Whether site seeing, playing a round of golf, walking one of the trails and paths around Carradale, or enjoying the many activities in the area, we hope that you will enjoy your stay at the Ashbank.

We have five bedrooms all of which are individually decorated. Comfortably furnished, each has an en-suite bathroom, colour TV with tea and coffee making facilities and some rooms having sea and golf course views.

The bright and cosy dining room with fireplace is licensed and offers a choice of menu, home cooked from the finest local ingredients. Dinner is served between 6-8.30 pm. After dinner you may wish to relax with your coffee in either the comfortable non-smoking or smoking lounge. Snacks and meals from the ‘today specials' board are served in the lounge during the day.
