The Marykirk Hotel, Marykirk, Aberdeenshire

The Marykirk Hotel is situated in the charming village of Marykirk, just four miles outside Montrose, and a thirty minute drive south of Aberdeenshire along the A90 dual carriageway.

The Hotel nestles in rolling countryside approximately 200 metres from the River Esk, world famous for its salmon and trout fishing.

A former Coaching Inn, the Hotel was built in the mid 1800s and still retains its original charm and character, although now tastefully modernised. Each of the en suite bedrooms offer good quality, comfortable accommodation at affordable prices, without compromising on the facilities which business and leisure travelers have come to expect from today's hotels.

All guest rooms include:
En suite facilities.
Central heating.
Flat screen colour TV.
Free Wi-Fi.
Tea and coffee making facilities.
Trouser press.
Access to iron and ironing board.
Access to drying facilities for fishers and shooters wet clothing.

There is Free car parking in our own large (20+ cars), secure car park, monitored by 24-hour CCTV. We also have locked garaging for bicycles and motorcycles.

The Esk Restaurant at the Marykirk balances exposed oak beams with warm wall coverings, comfortable leather Chesterfields and a roaring log fire in the colder months. A perfect setting in which to enjoy good quality food and wines at reasonable prices.

For Hotel guests, a traditional full cooked Scottish breakfast is served in the guests dining room, and early breakfasts and packed lunches - fishers and shooters - can be provided on request.

We also offer lunch and dinner each day with a selection of freshly prepared dishes served in the cosy Bar, which is a cheerful and popular venue for the village regulars.

We have a full Hotel license, a children’s license and a large picturesque beer garden for summer days and evenings outside.

Around the hotel are green, rolling hills and farmland. The region is rich with things to see and do, with something for everyone of all ages and interests.
