The Glen Lui Hotel, Ballater, Aberdeenshire

The Glen Lui Hotel in Ballater, Aberdeenshire, Scotland is set in two acres of woodland grounds in the heart of Ballater with wonderful views across the golf course to majestic Lochnagar.

At the Glen Lui Hotel there are 19 non smoking bedrooms with private facilities. Each room is equipped with a colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones, trousers press and hair dryer.

There is also a coin operated launderette, drying facilities, under cover storage facilities for bikes together with fishing rod and golf bag storage.

Pets are welcome by prior arrangement in Pine Terrace rooms. The Pine Terrace rooms are en suite twin rooms and are situated to the rear of the hotel and approximately one minute's walk from the main entrance.

In the main hotel there are double, twin and single en suite rooms together with two suites - The Lochnagar Suite and Lecht Suite.

At the Glen Lui Hotel the food is prepared using fresh local produce, with a traditional Scottish flavour.

A great deal of imagination goes into the preparation of the restaurant menu and the food is first class with a suitably supportive wine list. The menu changes daily with options to suite all tastes.

The restaurant is open daily with lunch served from 12.00noon until 2.30pm and dinner served from 6.00pm until 9.00pm

We also specialise in designing a menu to suit your taste and can cater for private functions, family celebrations and small weddings for up to 30 people.

Wine Tasting Dinners are held in the Winter and we would be happy to send details if you let us have your contact details through our e-mail. We can also arrange a private Wine Tasting for your group booking.

The Glen Lui Hotel is also an ideal conference venue, offering companies the option of taking over the whole hotel with two dedicated conference rooms. The whole hotel can be taken over with the bar area and a lounge adjacent to conference rooms also able to be used as satellite rooms. An array of outdoor and team building activities can be arranged on the doorstep.

The Glen Lui Hotel is also licensed for Wedding Ceremonies and can cater for weddings of up to 30 quite comfortably. With 19 rooms we are also able to accommodate the whole Wedding party.
