The Glenburn is a small, highly-acclaimed, family-run, no-smoking hotel. Ideally located within easy walking distance of both Windermere and its lake, the owners have transformed the hotel over the last few years into an elegant and relaxing place to stay. There are four different types of bedrooms available, with eight on the first floor and eight on the second floor. All have complimentary tea and coffee facilities as standard, and include satellite TV and hairdryers. All rooms at The Glenburn are ensuite and, of course, are immaculately kept.

The double and twin rooms are the smallest - but with everything you need to ensure a good night's sleep.

The range of superior rooms includes larger family rooms that sleep three or four people.

The new deluxe rooms are elegantly furnished with state-of-the-art jacuzzi-style spa baths and rain showers, and flat screen TVs.

Looking for something special? The best rooms are the deluxe four-poster bedrooms with spa baths, rain showers and little extra touches which make a world of difference. For those special occasions we can arrange to have champagne, flowers and chocolates in your rooms upon arrival. The bed can even be scattered with rose petals!

The restaurant at the Glenburn is continuing to gain an enviable reputation for outstanding home-cooked gourmet food. The hearty full English breakfast and buffet will prepare you for a day out on the Lake District fells.

The relaxed but elegant candlelit four-course dinner is definitely a treat not to be missed. It is complimented by a wide choice of wines from around the world.

After dinner you can relax with a drink in the bar or walk to Windermere village, just a few minutes away with late-opening bars.
