Levisham is in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, set on a plateau between two valleys and surrounded by stunning scenery.
The Moorlands is a beautiful restored Victorian House set in its own grounds.
All our bedrooms are en-suite, with bath or shower and are centrally heated. Each bedroom has been individually decorated in rich and tasteful colours.
They also have tea/coffee making facilities. Each room has its own TV and we also have a residents lounge with a TV for those who like to chat and make friends with our other guests.
For those romantic holiday breaks we have a four poster room.
We have stabling facilities for those wishing to bring their horses with them, as the area has some beautiful bridleways with lovely scenery.
Levisham is an ideal base for those wishing to have a walking touring or restful holiday. We are within easy reach of York, castle Howard, Harrogate, the dramatic North East coastline and of course the North Yorkshire Moors. Levisham has a railway station with wonderful steam trains stopping to take you through wonderful scenery to other villages along the line, or enjoy a leisurely evening meal on your journey.
Evening meals are available with the menu changing on a daily basis.

The Moorlands, an elegant country residence, built at the turn of the century for the local vicar by his family, is set in threee and a half acres of mature gardens and woodland, offers comfortable and superior accommodation situated on the edge of this peaceful village.

The nearest town of Pickering is a busy market town offering a wide variety of shops, tea rooms, restaurants etc, along with many interesting places to visit, including the Beck Isle Museum, Pickering Castle and the North Yorks Moors Steam Railway. The steam train begins its journey at Pickering, passing through wonderful valleys on route, (stopping at Levisham) to goathland the village made famous for the BBC's 'Heartbeat', and on to Grosmont.
The traditional fishing town of Whitby, Scarborough, Castle Howard and the historic city of York are within easy travelling distance and for those seeking the peace and tranquillity of the countryside then this is literally on THE MOORLANDS doorstep.
The Moorlands provides an ideal base from where you can wander off and enjoy many tranquil walks through the forest, along country lanes and across the moors. Bring your bikes or we have stabling if you wish to bring your horse. The surrounding countryside is truly splendid and commands some of the most spectacular and breathtaking views within
Rydedale.
