Wentworth House Hotel, Aldbrough, Nr Hull, East Yorkshire

Wentworth House is situated in the village of Aldbrough, just east of Hull. Currently rated (Visit Britain) as a four star guest house, we also offer many of the facilities of a hotel.

We offer a warm welcome and are always happy to help, with an informal atmosphere and friendly hospitality. It is in an ideal location for individuals who are working and require a home base or who are relocating into the area, short term or long term, and of course for a relaxing break. Our business facilities enable us to cater for a variety of business events.

Our newly appointed ground floor room is suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Licensed for civil ceremonies and catering for up to 100 guests for business and private functions.

The Hotel's 8 Bedrooms all have direct line telephones, broadband internet connection (wireless network), TVs, radio alarm clocks, hair dryer, trouser press, stationery plus tea / coffee / making facilities and snacks. All but one are en-suite.

Our ground floor bedroom has its own access and visitors can park within a metre of the door. Although not to building regulation sizes for disabled use, users with wheelchairs and assistance can comfortably access all the hotel ground floor rooms. We have named it the Jamaican room after James Bean the plantation owner who rebuilt Wentworth House.

In addition to this we have, on request, an ironing facility. A separate Jacuzzi is available for all our guests.

Wentworth House Hotel Dining Room caters for 16 people in comfortable surroundings. The menu at every meal has the emphasis on good quality home cooking. Many ingredients are locally produced including our own truly free range eggs!

Normally we offer a set meal, with a salad alternative. The restaurant is only used for larger private parties.

Up to 29 can dine in the restaurant/function room, so it total we have 45 covers. Sixty people can be catered for in a buffet situation.

Cream teas and crab sandwiches are sometimes available during the summer on the lawns or in the dining room.

Our spacious lounges provide seating both by the hotel bar and adjoining television viewing area.

The main restaurant area is also used as a small conference area and has modern presentation facilities. The room is used for pre-booked meals and is ideal for small to medium parties.

The Wentworth House Hotel Bar has a fine selection of spirits and popular beers. The bar area and lounge is the perfect place to relax after a busy day and a good meal. We are proud of our range of Rum, to celebrate James Bean the Jamaican Plantation owner who rebuilt the house in 1750.

Digital TV, DVD, Video and Music systems are available for guests use.
