Luccombe Hall Country House Hotel was originally built in 1870 as the summer palace for the Bishop of Portsmouth. This lovely, family-run hotel commands the best position and the best selection of facilities of any hotel on the Isle of Wight. With magnificent views of the bay, the hotel has direct access to the beach and the old village of Shanklin and yet is away from traffic noise. Shanklin is the ideal place to stay and has a varied selection of shops, restaurants and bars, all within easy walking distance from the hotel. There are also some lovely walks through parks and along the coast line in both directions, near to the hotel. Luccombe Hall Country House Hotel’s bedrooms are spacious and attractively furnished, with modern amenities.
