Perfectly located in a tranquil, traditional Cornish country village by the sea, with its ancient church dating back to the 12th Century, thatched cottages and surrounding National Trust land to wander through, the Fairbank Hotel is ideally situated as a centre for exploring the many wonders of Cornwall. From the moment you arrive, your hosts Paul and Elaine Redd and family will do their utmost to ensure that you have a very happy stay and are able to enjoy the stylish ambience of the Fairbank Hotel (totally refurbished for March 2005 and, annually refreshed) along with the superb sea views and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel offers a total of fourteen comfortably furnished en-suite bedrooms, all newly equipped, with a choice of four-poster, double, twin, single or family rooms available, including one suite for those couples requiring additional, personal seating areas. Since completing our major refurbishment programme in March 2005 and, in the interests of the majority of our guests, we have implemented a total no smoking policy throughout the entire hotel in accordance with the legislation introduced from July 2007. All bedrooms in the Fairbank Hotel are located on the first and second floors accessed by two separate, bright and airy staircases. There is no lift facility installed but assistance will always be available. The main staircase to the first floor has a second handrail and nosings to the carpet on each stair tread to facilitate access for our less mobile guests. Each room has been individually named and most have spectacular views over Crantock Bay from which guests can admire the ever-changing moods of the Atlantic Ocean. However, the bedrooms located at the front of the hotel still enjoy fine views of uninterrupted countryside over Cubert Common, towards the village of Cubert and beyond. All bedrooms benefit from our recently installed heating and plumbing systems with pressurised hot water and mains cold water throughout. All areas on the ground and first floor have thermostatically controlled and centrally heated radiators, while the second floor bedrooms have thermostatically controlled electric heaters. All en-suites have recently been totally re-fitted with new sanitary ware and highly efficient showers. As standard, all bedrooms are equipped with a remote controlled LCD Digital Colour television, hairdryer, clock radio, tea and coffee making facilities and, complimentary toiletries. High speed wireless broadband internet access is available on request in all public areas and the majority of bedrooms, although signal strength can vary in certain room locations.
