Alison Park Hotel, Buxton, Derbyshire, Peak District

Alison Park Hotel is located in Buxton, Derbyshire in the Peak District.

The hotel has just past its centenary year, our beautiful Edwardian hotel was constructed in the Arts and Crafts period, The building is set in its own mature, well maintained gardens, only five minutes walk away from Buxton’s Town Centre, with its many attractions including the Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens.

The hotel is family run, currently in its third generation. We combine the traditional values of a welcoming atmosphere and good, fresh food, locally sourced where possible, with informal, yet attentive service.

Our fourteen ensuite bedrooms and three with exclusive private facilities offer a combination of double, twin single or family accommodation.

Each of the non smoking bedrooms is unique with its own charm, and is provided with a television with 8 digital channels, tea and coffee tray, hairdryer and a comfortable bed.

Our cosy lounges provide a peaceful retreat for a quick coffee or leisurely afternoon tea whilst planning your next move. Enjoy a relaxing drink from our residents bar before dinner or maybe a night cap on return from your evening in town.

The hotel’s private patio offers the chance of alfresco dining when weather permits. Otherwise our conservatory and restaurant area provide a comfortable setting for a hearty breakfast, lunch or dinner.

With its magnificent Georgian and Victorian architcture, Buxton has a wealth of stylish shops, cafes and restaurants and world-class acts appearing at the stunning Opera House. The Pavilion Gardens consist of 23 acres of recently restored pleasure gardens with lakes, bandstand, Pavilion, restaurants and swimming pool - the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Buxton is also the home to the famous Festival and to Buxton Spa water which can be sampled in the town’s Pump Room. A major attraction to the west of the town is Pooles Cavern, a natural limestone cave once inhabited by primitive man.

Adjoining the site is a country park from which footpaths lead to Solomon's Temple on Grin Low providing extensive views over Buxton.
